Common designs, clearly scoped
A reel family contains many designs. These original schematic drawings isolate common arrangements and identify important variations. They are not measured product drawings or replacement service manuals.
The site focuses on understanding gear. It does not rank products or prescribe a single outfit for every fishing situation, and it has no affiliate links, sponsored pages or product samples.
Where the explanations come from
Each explanation rests on the documentation cited beside it: state fish and wildlife agencies, education programmes, reference works, magazines and manufacturers' own manuals. A retailer's page is never the only support for a claim.
The method explains the assumptions behind each drawing and tool, and the source register lists every reference with the date it was accessed.
